For Mexican Americans in Ohio, our ethnic heritage finds expression in a border imaginary conveyed through the stories, art, and advocacy of fourth and fifth generation residents. This presentation explores the vernacular discourses of Ohio Mexican Americans and describes how the rhetorical constructions of the U.S.-Mexico border work to maintain latinidad and social agency.
