Bio

Dr. Lori Bednarchik is a lecturer in the School of Communication specializing in health communication, interpersonal communication, and research methods. Dr. Bednarchik’s research examines sexual consent communication, bystander intervention, and risk reduction strategies. She has developed and implemented evidence-based education programs on sexual violence prevention, healthy relationships, and communication strategies, with a focus on engaging college students, athletes, and members of Greek Life. Her work bridges research and practice, emphasizing applied communication strategies. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Bednarchik is a nationally recognized speaker and consultant, delivering keynote presentations and training on consent education, boundary setting, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention for universities, athletic organizations, and professional groups. She has also worked with campuses across the country on Title IX education and campus safety initiatives.
